2014 WORLD ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP – 6H OF CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS "POLE POSITION", FIRST MAJOR STEP FOR PROSPEED COMPETITION

ProSpeed WEC Austin14 Porsche911GT3RSR75 2AUSTIN (USA) – Austin, Texas, in the south of the USA was the meeting place for the fourth round of the World Endurance Championship. For ProSpeed Competition it turned into an important rendezvous in the annals of the Belgian team. For the first time the brand new "Type 991" Porsche 911 GT3 RSR was competing. The French drivers François Perrodo, Emmanuel Collard and Matthieu Vaxivière, who was back in action following his accident in Monaco, promptly grabbed the Belgian team's first pole position in the WEC, a brilliant way in which to welcome the new German GT. The 6 hours long race saw a strong start for the trio and the tastefully decorated Porsche 911 GT3 RSR was able to battle it out up front up to the red flag being shown. Unfortunately a technical problem dashed their hopes of the expected end result, however one thing is for sure, during the second half of the Word Championship ProSpeed Competition will definitely hold its own ground.

LE MANS (FRA) – ProSpeed Competition's fifth place at the 82nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LM GTE Pro category is in itself a brilliant result, but the adventure that the American Cooper MacNeil and the Dutchman Jeroen Bleekemolen, not forgetting the entire technical crew of the Belgian Porsche team is definitely one for the history annals of the greatest motorsport event in the world. Following an accident earlier in the week the car was rebuilt, Bret Curtis was unable to take the start and for the first time in ten years a duo completed the 24 Hours of Le Mans. As such the fifth place at the finish in its own right was worthy of a victory. Regular drivers François Perrodo, Emmanuel Collard and their teammate, the Finnish-Belgian Markus Palttala battled it out for a place in the top-10 of the LM GTE Am, until a wheel sheared off and brought an end to their adventure.
