Prospeed Competition present on all fronts during the Belgian Motorsport Festival

GRACE-HOLLOGNE (B) – For the third time this season the new BRCC championship will be calling on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. It is more than the fourth meeting of the season, and these BRCC races being held during the 24 Hours of Spa weekend are without a doubt the season’s highlight for the competitors of this Belgian championship. Once again ProSpeed Competition is entering both Porsches 911, namely the Porsche 911 GT3 RS in the RedBull-Real Dolmen livery bearing start number #3 and the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the colours of Colen-Freeman T.Porter-Quick with start number #60. The team and the drivers have a double assignment: to regain the lead in the Short Races championship and to put pressure on the leaders in the intermediate rankings of the Long Races with a view to placing a step forward in the direction of first place.

ProSpeed Competion on target in Spa!

FRANCORCHAMPS (B) – For the second time this season the Belgian BRCC championship called in on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Once again ProSpeed Competition proved that it not only has strategy but speed on its side, and in addition the team always holds the perfect answer when it comes down to competition facts. Some twenty minutes before the end of the Long Race a safety-car procedure appeared unexpectedly, bringing the entire field back together but notwithstanding that Frédéric Bouvy, Christian Kelders and Damien Coens convincingly clinched their first endurance win of the season. Earlier Kelders and Bouvy, at the wheel of the Red Bull-Real Dolmen Porsche 911 had grabbed two podium places in their class in both short sprint races. Didier Grandjean, Pascal Muller and Chris Mattheus also proved their worth at Spa, by further developing their progress. Three times in a row the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, bearing start number #60 in the colours of Colen-Freeman T. Porter-Quick finished in fourth place, worth more than an honourable mention. The BRCC is now taking a two week recess, prior to appearing back in Spa as a curtain raiser for the top motorsport weekend of the season, the 24 Hours of Spa.

ProSpeed Competition, “Leadership” and Apprenticeship

GRACE-HOLLOGNE (B) – For the second time this season, the Belgian Touring and Grand Touring championship will be calling in at Spa Francorchamps. A circuit that the two ProSpeed Competition Porsche 911 GT3s know only too well. A circuit where the two German muscle cars- and their drivers … - know how to show off their full worth. Heading up the” Short Races” championship, Frédéric Bouvy has every intention of defending his “leadership”. The fast Red Bull driver will be back in action with Christian Kelders and Damien Coens at the wheel of the Superdry-Real Dolmen 911 GT3 RS. Ideally placed in an ambush position in the “Long Race” competition, Didier Grandjean, Pascal Muller and Chris Mattheus will be carrying on their progress. The 911 GT3 Cup #60 in the Colen-Freeman T.Porter-Quick colours is no unknown on the podiums. This has undoubtedly become one of the pleasant surprises of the season’s beginning. To put together a team of three drivers, all out to come to perfection and bring together and integrate into a professional organisation is no mean feat. In fact it boiled down to bringing together Didier Grandjean, Pascal Muller, Chris Mattheus and the ProSpeed Competition team. A choice that no one has looked back on if one takes into account theatmosphere, relaxed attitude… … but quite so studious, which has been on hand since the start of the season in the Liege based team’s workshops. The challenge is also highly successful when one takes a look at the results achieved. At the wheel of the Porsche #60 the trio achieved a perfect initial weekend on the demanding Zolder circuit. At the  following meeting, in Francorchamps, we discovered them… on the podium!

ProSpeed Competition looking for... the sun!

GRÂCE-HOLLOGNE – Rinsed down in Monza, soaked in Silverstone, what does the weather now hold in store for the Blancpain Endurances Series 2012 competitors? We will soon know. This Tuesday evening the two ProSpeed Competition trucks will be heading on down to the Paul Ricard circuit, an ultramodern track nestled in the heart of the Var department (France). Here Marc Goossens, Xavier Maassen and Marc Hennerici will be reunited with the Porsche 911 GT3-R #75 bearing the Alcra Flash-CMF-MoWeKo colours. The #74, entered in the “Pro-Am” category with the support of NEC and Soleco, will once again be in the hands of Paul Van Splunteren, Maxime Soulet and Dylan Derdaele. For these two ProSpeed Competition teams this will be the final meeting before the 24 Hours of Spa… Monza, Silverstone, Paul Ricard… one fast track after another. A constant, that unfortunately also appears to go hand in hand with the climatic conditions. Back in Italy the celestial floodgates only had eyes for the Autodromo track. Similarly in England the Silverstone circuit did not escape the deluge that hit the entire country. But where is the sun?
