De teams, rijders, partners en organisatie kwamen er samen om het seizoen 2014 feestelijk af te sluiten, de winnaars te huldigen en vooruit te blikken op het nieuwe jaar. Niet toevallig gebeurde dat in de thuisbasis van kersvers kampioen Xavier Maassen.

2014 WORLD ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP – 6H OF SAO PAULO TOP 5 FOR PROSPEED COMPETITION

INTERLAGOS (BRA) – It was an intense and thrilling final round of the World

ProSpeed WEC Bahrein14 Porsche911GT3RSR75 1Endurance Championship (aka WEC) in Brazil. The last race of the World Championship had all the traits of a thriller; not only up front where Porsche clinched its first ever victory in LM P1, but also in the LM GTE Am class. It was in this class that ProSpeed Competition had entered a Porsche 911 RSR for the French trio comprised out of François Perrodo, Manu Collard and Matthieu Vaxivière. Following a strong performance put in by the trio, although at times flavoured with several race incidents and a puncture, the Belgian team rounded off the season with a top-5 in a heavily fought class. ProSpeed Competition can look back on an excellent initial campaign in this World Championship, with amongst others a pole position in the USA and a podium place in Japan.

6H OF BAHREIN SAND IN THE WORKS FOR PROSPEED COMPETITION

ProSpeed WEC Bahrein14 Porsche911GT3RSR75 1BAHREIN (BRN) – Where on the one hand most championships have started their winter recess, the World Endurance Championship (aka WEC) on the other hand is still going strong. This weekend the penultimate round of the championship was on the calendar: the 6 Hours of Bahrain. Following this competition in Bahrain this weekend, the Belgian ProSpeed Competition team as also the other teams still face the season's finale in Brazil held on the F1 Interlagos circuit. In Bahrain ProSpeed Competition with their French trio comprised of Emmanuel Collard, François Perrodo and Matthieu Vaxivière (FRA/FRA/FRA) did not experience the wished for extension of their strong performances in the previous three races, with amongst others a pole position and a podium. The reason for this lesser performance was short and simple: sand. The track of the Bahrain oil state has an ongoing covering of fine desert sand and this fact upset the brand new Porsche 911 RSR's performance.

4TH PLACE AND FRONT ROW IN QUALIFYING CONFIRMS PROSPEED COMPETITION'S GOOD FORM

ProSpeed WEC Shanghai14 Porsche911GT3RSR75 1SHANGHAI (CHINA) – Whereas all other championships are coming to the end of their season, the World Endurance Championship (aka WEC), was this weekend holding its sixth out of their eight rounds. In China ProSpeed Competition with the French drivers' trio of Emmanuel Collard, François Perrodo and Matthieu Vaxivière, further confirmed the strong showing of the previous races. Following the pole in Austin (USA) and the third place in Fuji (Japan), this time around the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR clinched a second front row during qualifying and a top-4 in the race. The #75 ProSpeed Competition Porsche was also the best Porsche representative in the highly competitive LMGTE Am category.

PROSPEED AND PORSCHE, TOP 3 RIGHT FROM QUALIFYING SESSIONS

ProSpeed ELMS14 Estoril Porsche911GT3R75 1ESTORIL (POR) – The final of the European Le Mans Series, the endurance championship for Sport-Prototypes and Grand Touring cars, has once again given ProSpeed Competition the opportunity to prove itself. Right from the qualifying sessions fast driver Maxime Soulet slotted the Porsche 911 GT3-R #75 in the Top-3 of the "GTC - Grand Touring Challenge". The young Dutch hopeful Max Van Splunteren and the Frenchman Gilles Vannelet, teamed up with the Belgian driver, confirmed the car's pure speed during the first two thirds of the race. The GT #75 then dropped out of the Top-3, having experienced the beginning of a fire, not before the Porsche 911 GT3 had, in its present configuration, shown a strong hand in this European Endurance Championship.
